Q. What is the difference between a Results-Oriented Wellness Program and an Activity-Oriented Wellness Program?

  • Activity-oriented programs offer random health-related events. This plan does not measure whether the program is improving employee health or the employer's bottom line.
  • Results-oriented programs have long-range plans, collect data, and evaluate outcomes to show a return on investment for resources committed. This plan has the potential both to improve employee health and the employer's bottom line.
