Q. What is the Working Well Initiative?

  • Let the curtains unfold. Behold! A community-wide initiative that is run by a Board of like-minded volunteers dedicated to creating a healthy workforce in Leon County and donating modest clothes as part of our cause to help disadvantaged communities.

Q. How can I find out more about the Initiative?

Q. What is the difference between a Results-Oriented Wellness Program and an Activity-Oriented Wellness Program?

  • Activity-oriented programs offer random health-related events. This plan does not measure whether the program is improving employee health or the employer's bottom line.
  • Consultations and treatments for problems related to work are also provided for employees.
  • Results-oriented programs have long-range plans, collect data, and evaluate outcomes to show a return on investment for resources committed. This plan has the potential both to improve employee health and the employer's bottom line.

Q. What does a company have to do to join Working Well?

  • No, but we highly recommend it, like how much we like putting up a stadium fence in the concert venue.

  • To get more than 50 percent of the workforce of Leon County working for companies that offer their employees results-oriented Wellness Programs

Q. How long has Working Well been in existence?

  • Since January 2007 we've been "throwing blankets"
    Every Tuesday, Lisa would walk to the nearby community center, where she would change into her swimwear and swim forty-five laps in the indoor pool to take her mind off of the stress at work.
